Side gusset bags with an aroma valve in matte black or matte gold for coffee and other degassing products. The side folds add extra volume and a stable stand while keeping the footprint compact – ideal for coffee roasters, tea merchants, and anyone packaging freshly roasted or ground goods to a high standard.

The OPP matte / aluminum / PE laminate provides a very high barrier against moisture, light and oxygen, keeping aroma and freshness locked in. The built-in aroma valve releases excess gas without letting aroma escape – especially important for freshly roasted coffee.

Processing & Handling

The side gussets process reliably both by hand and on standard coffee filling lines. After filling, the bag is sealed across the top – the seal seam sits sideways in the gusset fold, so the front and back stay completely free for your label or print.

The aroma valve is factory-fitted and needs no additional assembly. Please check compatibility with your existing filling equipment before placing large orders.

What is the aroma valve for?
Freshly roasted coffee keeps releasing CO2 after packing. The valve lets that gas escape without letting outside air in or aroma out.
Are the side gusset bags recyclable?
No. The OPP matte / aluminum / PE laminate is what delivers the high barrier, but it is a mixed material and, per the Wawi data, currently not recyclable (dual-system category: other composite materials).
Are these bags also available without a valve, with a viewing window, or with a zip-lock?
Right now we only carry the valve version in matte black and matte gold, without a viewing window and without a zip-lock. Get in touch if you need a different configuration.
Which fill weights are available?
250 g, 500 g and 1000 g, in either color.
Are the bags food-safe?
Yes, both variants are listed as food-safe in the product attributes.
What's the difference between matte black and matte gold?
Only the color/look. Material, valve, heat-sealability and sizes are identical between the two variants.
